Wherever one is it is the grace of Almighty that keeps one going. The power of prayer is enormous and all our acts are governed by God. We must keep in mind this before we do anything.Even from far,we can reach up to Devi and fall at her lotus feet. The commentary given by Ms Uma is significant as it tells what a true devotee feels. God bless each one of us.

valiyachalai ganapathy temple originally means big road or street temple. this small temple is built in the center of the road.when u enter this particular street, ganapathy temple is there in the middle of the road. i have no knowledge about this chosen location. u cannot even call it as a temple in a sense because compared to other temples in trivandrum, this ganapathy chose toremain as a roadside god. the wonder is all festivals started from here, there used to be vishnu sahasranama recital, accompanied by the procession, chathurti festival etc are used to be celebrated in a grand manner.childre, housewives. men each and every one just pray before the GOD before leaving the street on work. now the temple is renovated, more space is there i heard. the most important aspect is GANAPATHY is the traffic controller of this street. just go and watch.

i thank MR.pratap for sharing his wish to visit the chenthitta devi temple. when we are born and brought up near a temple, the residing deity looks after us through out our life time. people relocate for job to different places and countries, but they always worship their village deity on birthdays, marraige days on all important occasions. they will ask some relative from the village to perform the pujas on their name, and stars.it is natural we want to spend the fog end of our life in our own village. like the birds returning to their nests in the evening, we too want to go back home. times have changed a lot, the places we know as a child are not the same, the food, clothes, manners, culture every thing have turned upside down, but the smell of the mud, air, water, some mystic quality prevailing in the area soothes ur soul. u want to go back to ur earlier care free days, want to share, feel secure among ur loads of relatives , most of them gone now. the real ugly truth of living a lonely unloved, uncared life is killing us all. i pray to my goddess BHAGAVATHI to help us overcome this physical life with out much physical, mental agonies.BHAGAVATHI AMMAN THUNAI
