om nama shivaya. The chantting of AUM-OM , the vibrations from this sound surrounds us with subtle energy. when you chant, utter AUM, begin slowly, increase the tempo slowly and end with high tempo in M. sound accompanies the vibration, here the aum is brahman. at puttaparti ashram in Andhra, the devotees chant OMKAAR early morning. here they chant in a melodious tune for 21 times.tremendous vibrations echo around the auditorium. when the earth is quiet, at peace, chant AUM.

Lord Anandha padhmanabha is in a reclining pose like Lord Vishnu. Why this pose? Lord the protector is taking rest after creating this world. When the time comes for his next AVATAAR-KALKI at the end of this yug-KALIYUG then the Lord will arise from this sleeping position. This time the end will come to this universe. There wont be any creation for millions of years. When the end came, the Lord will again recline in this position till his time to create another world. This is the belief prevelent among hindus. Some belief is that Lord's avataars and the evolution theory has some significant similarities.

There are lot of BHAGAVATHI TEMPLES in kerala state. like DURGA,this Devi is considered as kali- the evil destroyer. there are subtle differences in the image of bhagavathi and other female deities. i am very much interested to know about this particular worship, its origin etc.in kerala they maintain certain rules in the temples. u are not allowed to enter with any modern dress. dress code is very important. another thing i noticed is all most all devotees enter the temples after having a head bath only. the tourists who are not aware of such customs may feel frustrated. purification of body is a must to see god. u can attain purification of mind by his darshan. keeping the temple premises clean, neat is the top priority for the authorities and devotees. it is saddenning to see lot of neglected temples in ruins at so many places.
