Om namo bhagavathiyae namaha.Goddess bhagavati is very merciful, kind and compassionate to her devotees. But mother also took a kali avatar sometime to destroy the evil. She is my mother in all sense, she looked after me all these years,i failed to remember her sometime in the course of my life, but she is always there for me.AMMA,devotees call her amma means mother. Those live and die around her temple are very fortunate.I hope oneday i might be able to see her in her new renovated temple and offer my prayers in person. If she blesses me i may return and stay near her. I offer my prayers to my bhaghavati amman.

Om namo bhaghavthiyae namaha. Recently i read a spiritual speech of a great saint-guru. Swamiji explained in this article a different, entirely a new way to look at death. He tells, death is nothing,a long sleep, after wards you,[your soul] will wake up in a new body.In ordinary sleep, you sleep for few hours, find yourself in the same body. Relatives and others wail, cry, mourn the death, because they cannot have you in the same physical body known to them. There is no need to cry, death is a new begining for the soul. When the soul gets tired of the old wornout body, it discards the body. The soul may wander for some time, moretime, till it wished to enter in to a new form.Swamiji also explained that death brings grief mostly due to selfish thoughts. What will i do, where will i go, who cares me, children etc centers around only ourselves. i hope some one will provide more relevent details, knowledge to this subject.

Om namo narayana. It is very nice reading such thoughts.People, eventhough very few have such depth of knowledge of our scriptures. Our forefathers failed to teach us the wisdom of vedas, puranas, the wisdom acquired by the rishis after years of tapasya, their inner vision, the power of our mind etc. such knowledge gives strong base for a human development.Every birth ends in death. The day u are born you are waiting for its end. This basic truth is not imparted to us.We lost the wisdom of our forefathers, we gained only knowledge. Now we are not in a position to teach Dharma, only Adharma exists. Ipray to Lord Padhmanabha to save us.

Om Namo Bhaghavathiyae Namaha. The temple might be preparing for its annual Amman Thullal programme which is nearing. The pandit chosen might be observing the Virat. It is a belief that BHAGAVATHI visited the devotees on that day. Some times the purpose of life and death has no meaning. If nothing is permanent, we are searching for what? We are surrounded by violence, corruption, cheating, scams etc. Most of the time i have no idea whom to belive?what to do?If life itself is a MAYA,why we are going after things which are not permanent. I think, from early childhood, children should have a basic education of our Dharma, its values, the life and death cycle, lot of things which will make them being good humans. Generations failed to impart such good knowledge and we are suffering. We have no roots, the future is bleak.

  • Chenthitta Devi Temple, Pratap (guest) wrote 16 years ago:
Absolute truth does exist, and it can be fully realized. But unfortunately those who realize it are very few. The vast majority of people remain illusioned and unfulfilled because they stubbornly hold onto the misconception that they are the center of the universe. And thus sadly their lives are thrown down the drain completely wasted in the maddened pursuit of material sense gratification. They never realize the full potential that human life offers to them. Those who would like to throw off the shackles of illusion and realize the Absolute Truth should seek it with a completely open mind. If they hold on to a preconception of what is the Absolute Truth, that preconception will distort their vision and prevent them from realizing the Absolute Truth. Their vision of reality will be twisted around their prejudice. So pure objectivity is required. If one is daring enough to throw all prejudices and be prepared to accept whatever he may discover, the Absolute Truth will be revealed to him in due course of time, and he will enter into an eternal life, full of bliss, and full of knowledge.
