    om namo narayana. When kurushethra war ended and Bhishmachariya was laid down on a arrow bed awaited his death,but the death deluded him. He has this boon of iichha mrithu from the gods, but even though he wished for his death nothing happened.Lord krishna along with pandavas visited him and he recited the rules for the kingdom as well as vishnu sahasrarama also. oneday ved vysa visited him, and felt sad, bheeshmachriya asked him for some upaya[way] for his death. he cried when he narrated the Draupathi vasthraharan incident, how the woman cried for help and all the male members were there without doing any sort of help, how god himself saved her from that shameful event etc.VYasa told him, when you cried for your misdeeds with honesty, your paap will be wahed away. Acharya left soon to vaikunta.

    om namo bhagavathiyae namaha.chenthitta devi temple celebrated the annual Amman thullal festival with great pomp and gaiety.Now the festival is followed by other devi shethrams as well. some devotees are blessed with garlands and prasadams that day. Attukkal bhagavathi temple also celebrated the Pongalai festival last week. around 10 lakhs participated in this festival. All THE ROADS WERE LINED WITH DEVOTEES WITH THEIR PONGALAI VESSELS.now a days more and more people are participating with faith and devotion. Devi's blessings will shower on all of us. i pray to her om .

Long time back the idol was made with shaaligram and covere with some special medicinal paste called thivya thravyam. There might be some reason, to save the idol,it might be covered with a paste, inside it was gold. hope god Padmanabha will reveal the truth soon. There is strong belief that at the end of kaliyugs Lord will arise from his slumber to took kalki avataar.om namo narayana.

    om namo devi namosthuthae.Recently the Annual festival AMMAN THULLAL was celebrated with usual bhakti and spirit.The presiding goddess used to visit the devotees this time is the story or iddeham behind this ritual.The temple is renovated and the kumbabhishaeham was celebrated in grand manner with Annadanam and music concerts etc.The temple is situated in a narrow street which is preventing its popularity.I offer my pranams to devi bhagavathi.
