Om namo narayani.Whatever happens in our life it is due to destiny. The part played by destiny is the one and only thing which cannot be changed by man's power. There is a saying that it is very difficult to change the words of vidhi purush.People argue that you can change it with our brain power. We go through all kinds of ups and down in our life according to the previously written script of vidhi purush.Nothing in our hands.Karma phal-karma says the puranas. Some are born with evil traits, there is no doubt about it.We cannot find the true side of a person, the real nature is always hidden.People show only good side of their character to us,when by chance you learned about their true identity it shatters your mind. What our eyes sees or what we hear is not true.I think we are living in a false world each cheating other, creating a world of illusion for us.This is maya i think.Nothing is true or permanent,no relation,no family ties, friends, wealth happiness everything is for a fleeting moment only. When the underlying dirt comes out to the open,we feel enough is enough.

  • Vellayani Lake, Designers wrote 16 years ago:
Vellayani Lake, the only fresh water lake in Thiruvananthapuram District, is located at Vellayani, a picturesque village on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city. The lake water is extensively used for drinking and irrigational purposes. The origin of this lake is related to a saint, who used to meditate under a banyan tree at this place. One day, a beggar came up to him and asked for some water to drink. When saint found that his pot was nearly empty, he poured the last few drops in the pot into his palm and with a prayer, threw the drops as far as he could. It is believed that the land till the point where the drops touched the earth turned into a big lake. Vellayani Vishnu Temple and Vellayani Devi Temple are two famous shrines situated on the banks of this lake (Anilmohan.S, Govt. approved Building Designer, Ulloor, Trivandrum, Phone: 9446749916. Om namo narayana. Most of the cities all over the country is famous for its temples, and named and recognised by the lord's name.We automatically conect the place with the temple.Temples plays such an important role in our life. When people shift to a new place, after the initial enquiries for daily necescities, they immediately asked this question;whether any temple nearby? Living near god gives assurance and peace to our minds. Those people who are living around Lord padhmanabha are really very lucky. Each soul surrenders at the lotus feet of god in the end.Om namo narayana.

  • Sree Anantha Padmanabha Swami Temple, Thiruvanathapuram, Designers wrote 16 years ago:
Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple was built by the Maharaja of Travancore in 1733. It is a splendid seven storied monument with numerous pillars, intricate carvings and mural paintings of natural pigments. This is the only place where Lord Vishnu (Padmanabha) is enshrined in the yoganidra posture. The Temple has been historically significant as the spiritual haven of Travancore kings. The huge idol resides on the holy serpent Anantha, with the head on the southern side, the feet towards the north and the navel with Lord Brahma in the middle. The idol is viewed from three doorways. There is a big pool, Padma teertham, in front of the temple. The Padmanabhaswamy Temple at Chennai is a replica of this temple. The temple is located in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram at East Fort, 8 km from the airport and 1 km from the railway station at Thiruvananthapuram

Om namo narayani.Ammae bhagavati kaathu rashikkanae. The sthala purana of this temple is not available. The history of temples is very interesting, each temple has some specific purana story connected with its deity, instalment, sakthi peed etc.The power of the deities is sometimes unbearable for the mankind.Adi sankara installed srichakra under the deities to calm the temper, anger, power etc under control. Some devotees has this divine power bestowed upon them by devi that they can recognise the moods of their goddess. The aura surrounding the garbagraha changes its color as well. The abishaekam to devima in milk, chandan, honey etc are really to cool down their tremendous power.Lord shiva swallowed the poison-vish from the sea to save the devas ,and goddess sakthi rushed to his side to stop the poison spreading by holdinghis neck-kandam,he became NeelaKANT.The heat of the poison gives trouble to shiva,to cool down his body water is always poured over the Lingam in all shiva temples.Lingam and yoni signifies the shiv sakti principle, the union of man woman for creation. There is no end to learn new things only our time is limited.Pl bless us all devi ma.
